123 Sesame Room went on a super fun field trip to Cosley Zoo, a local suburban gem, on Wednesday, June 7. Located in Wheaton, Illinois, about a 40 minute van ride from the school, Cosley Zoo is Chicagoland gem!
Situated on 2.65 acres of donated land, and a part of the Wheaton Park District, Cosley Zoo boasts domestic farm animals and native wildlife. The zoo's Mission is:"To create connections between people and animals that inspire lifelong conservation of the natural world."
The 123 Sesame Room got to see the many animals and plants in the Cosley Zoo including the Animal Farm, Aviary, Butterfly Garden, Blanding's Turtle Consevation Area, and even visited a tiny museum built inside a train caboose!
